You do not have to get anything perfect. But a few small things decide whether the appointment runs calmly or in a rush – and three of them cost you nothing but a thought in advance: be on time, pack clean shoes, lay out the clothes the evening before. The rest is here.
Four ways to your Christmas pictures. For all of them: your pictures are in your online gallery the very next day.

This is where the most common misunderstanding sits, so in detail: with Heart pictures we photograph exactly as we would otherwise. Up to 30 minutes, both sets, all the pictures are taken – just like with the other packages. Nothing is left out and nothing is shortened.
The difference comes afterwards: the next day you get a link to your own gallery. There you see every frame and choose in your own time which ones you would like. Each picture you choose is edited by me and costs €19.
So you decide once you have seen the pictures – not before.

Free parking is right outside, and there is a changing room in the studio. From 13 November to 23 December both sets stand permanently built – you walk into a finished studio and wait for nothing.
Two packages happen elsewhere: At your home – then I come to you, Berlin and surroundings included. And Christmas market – we agree on the meeting point beforehand.
This matters more at Christmas than at any other time of year: there are only a limited number of slots per day, and the appointments follow closely one after another. The next family is waiting behind you.
If you arrive late, the time comes off your session – nothing can be pushed back. So plan ten minutes of slack: coats off, let the children arrive, take a breath. Those ten minutes are visible in the pictures later.
The point that is forgotten most often – and the most important one on this list: if you want shoes in the pictures, bring a clean pair and put them on once you are inside the studio.
My team and I build the sets by hand every year, from pale wood, fabric and fir. Wet November shoes show on them within two minutes – on every picture afterwards, including those of the next family.
If you would rather not carry shoes: barefoot or in socks often looks warmer in the pictures anyway.
Coordinate your clothes, but do not dress identically. Two or three calm colours that everyone picks from – that looks like a family rather than a uniform. No large patterns, no logos. It expressly does not have to be red and green; cream, beige, warm grey and muted rust work beautifully on both sets.
In the Christmas bakery we really do bake – dough, cutters, clouds of flour. Do not dress the children in anything you would be sorry about, and put a change of clothes in the bag.
Lay everything out the evening before. Otherwise the morning with children turns hectic, and you can see that in the first pictures.
If your baby cannot sit up on its own yet – roughly under seven months – it is held in the pictures: by mum, by dad, by an older brother or sister. It is not placed or propped up on its own.
That is not a limitation; it is usually the better picture. Hands holding a child say more than a baby propped upright. And it is safe – that comes first.
With the studio packages we photograph in both sets – you do not have to choose.
The sets, the decorations and everything for baking are ready – you do not have to carry any of that. Everything else here:
Two finished sets are waiting in the studio, along with music and something to nibble. No sitting still, no stiff smiles – here children may run, nibble and marvel. That is exactly where the pictures come from that you will still want to hold in your hands in twenty years.
Count on the first five minutes as arriving time. They are not lost – they are the reason the rest is relaxed.
The very next day your pictures are in your private online gallery – with a link and a password, just for you. With Heart pictures you choose there which ones should be edited; with the other packages every picture is already edited.
From your favourites there is also the family calendar, as a wall or desk calendar from €59, and Christmas cards, finely printed and ready to send, 10 from €45.
If you want to post cards or calendars before Christmas Eve, tell me at the appointment – then we plan the printing in.
