Newborn Photographer Berlin

Newborn sessions in the first weeks of life – gentle, warm and at your own pace.

They are this small only once. During a newborn session your baby is in charge – we feed, change and sleep whenever it wants. I work calmly, safely and with a lot of patience, in the studio or at your home.

Newborn photography in Berlin

I photograph newborns in my studio in Berlin-Lichtenberg, where the focus is on keeping the session calm and comfortable for your baby. As a newborn photographer in Berlin, I allow time for feeding, changing, cuddling and settling whenever needed. A newborn session does not have to follow a strict timetable. Babies can sleep, wake up, need a break or simply be held. I work around those moments rather than expecting your baby to fit a fixed schedule. I speak German, English and Bulgarian, so you can choose the language in which you feel most comfortable.

The best time for a newborn session

The best time for newborn photography is usually between day 5 and day 14 after birth. During this period, many babies still sleep for longer stretches and can often settle more easily into the gentle poses used for newborn photographs. Every baby is different, though, so the exact timing can be discussed around your situation. My studio is heated to 26-28 degrees to keep the room warm for your baby, especially during photographs where less clothing is used.

Props, siblings and family moments

I provide the props used for the newborn session, so you can keep your preparation simple. We can photograph your baby on their own as well as include parents and siblings. Siblings are welcome and can be part of the photographs when the timing feels right. I do not expect children to remain still for long periods, and I leave room for natural interaction. Small details such as hands, feet, expressions and the way your baby is held can also become part of the session.

My studio in Berlin-Lichtenberg

My studio is at Karl-Lade-Strasse 36 in Berlin-Lichtenberg. There is free parking, and a changing room is available if you need it before or during your newborn session. I have been photographing since 2003 and work in German, English and Bulgarian. After the session, your finished images are ready within five working days.
