I photograph pregnancy in my Berlin studio and outdoors, depending on the kind of photographs you have in mind. As a maternity photographer in Berlin, I want the session to feel relaxed and personal rather than rushed. Pregnancy changes quickly, so maternity photos are a way to keep a record of this particular stage before your baby arrives. In the studio, we can work with simple backgrounds, different lighting and the dresses I provide. You do not need to bring a wardrobe of your own unless there is something personal you would like to include.
For most maternity sessions, the best time is between week 30 and week 36 of pregnancy. At this point, your pregnancy is usually clearly visible while there can still be enough comfort and energy for a photo session. Every pregnancy is different, so the right timing can also depend on how you are feeling. We can keep the session at a comfortable pace, with breaks whenever you need them.
My maternity sessions can take place in the studio or outdoors. The studio gives us a controlled environment where we can concentrate on the pregnancy photos without depending on weather or daylight. If you prefer a more open setting, we can photograph outdoors. A golden hour session is also possible when the timing and location work for you. Outdoor photography can bring movement, landscape and changing light into the images.
My studio is at Karl-Lade-Strasse 36 in Berlin-Lichtenberg. Free parking is available, and there is a changing room for your maternity session. I have been photographing since 2003 and speak German, English and Bulgarian. Dresses for the studio session are provided, so you can arrive without having to plan a complete outfit yourself. Once the session is finished, your images are ready within five working days.
